South Tangerang City focuses on orderly and solemn Ramadan

MediaBantenCyber.co.id (MBC), South Tangerang City — Welcoming Ramadan 1447 H, the South Tangerang City Government (Tangsel) emphasizes its importance orderly and solemn during the fasting month. Mayor Benjamin Davnie establish a number of policies to ensure that people can carry out their worship comfortably and safely.

Benyamin explained that one of the main policies is elimination of on-the-road sahur activities as well as prohibition on the use of firecrackers during Ramadan. This step is done for avoid potential disturbances to security and order in the community environment.

“Apart from that, the operational hours for food stalls are also implemented. Stalls are allowed to open from 11.00 WIB provided they use curtains,” explained Benyamin, Wednesday (18/2/2026).

Regarding economic and entertainment activities, all Entertainment venues in South Tangerang are prohibited from operating during Ramadan. The local government also ensures Food stocks in the market remain safeto prevent price fluctuations during the fasting month.

Benyamin added that people are advised to restrain themselves in consumption and observe fasting with meaning simplicity and self-control.

“This policy is expected to create an orderly, safe and solemn Ramadan atmosphere in South Tangerang City,” he concluded.
