KAI Daop 1 Jakarta Records Sales of 195,784 Discount Transportation Tickets During the 2025/2026 Christmas Period

PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Operational Area 1 Jakarta noted high public interest in the transportation discount ticket program during the Christmas 2025 and New Year 2026 transportation periods. Based on data from the order period up to December 20 2025, total discount ticket sales reached 195,784 tickets.

This discount program applies to commercial economy train travel with a departure period of 22 December 2025 to 10 January 2026.

KAI Daop 1 Jakarta Public Relations Manager, Franoto Wibowo, said that discount ticket sales were distributed for train departures at a number of main stations in the Daop 1 Jakarta area, with the highest volume coming from Pasar Senen Station.

“Of the total 195,784 discount tickets sold, the highest number was 105,291 tickets departing Pasar Senen Station, followed by 31,897 tickets departing Bekasi Station, 20,199 tickets departing Gambir Station, and 15,653 tickets departing Cikarang Station,” said Franoto.

Apart from that, discount ticket sales were also recorded for train departures at Jatinegara Station with 13,504 tickets, Karawang Station with 6,066 tickets, and Cikampek Station with 4,037 tickets.

Franoto explained that the peak sales of discount tickets occurred during the Christmas homecoming period, especially for departure dates 22 to 26 December 2025, with average daily sales of more than 16 thousand tickets. December 25 2025 was the highest with a total of 18,702 tickets sold.

“This discount ticket program is very popular and can be used optimally by the public to plan train travel during the Christmas and New Year holidays,” he added.

Franoto added that the ticket discount can be obtained by ordering through all official KAI channels, such as the Access by KAI application.

KAI Daop 1 Jakarta continues to urge customers to plan trips early, take advantage of available promos, and ensure travel data matches the tickets they have for smooth and comfortable transportation during the 2025/2026 Christmas Transport period.
