2025/2026 Nataru Transport, Jakarta Daop 1 Passenger Volume Reaches 387 Thousand Customers


Jakarta – PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Operational Area 1 Jakarta recorded passenger volume during the 2025/2026 Christmas and New Year (Nataru) Transport period approaching 400 thousand customers for the departure period from 18 December 2025 to 4 January 2026. This high level of public interest is a reflection of public trust which continues to increase in rail transportation services that are safe, comfortable and increasingly helpful.

To date, the total volume of passengers who have ordered tickets during the 2025/2026 Christmas period is recorded at 387,373 customers, with details of Long Distance Trains (KAJJ) as many as 367,373 customers and Pangrango Local Trains as many as 20,000 customers.

Based on departure data, Pasar Senen Station is still the station with the highest passenger volume, namely 167,527 customers, followed by Gambir Station with 87,019 customers, Bekasi Station with 51,241 customers, Cikarang Station with 26,234 customers, and Jatinegara, Karawang and Cikampek Stations with a total of 34,506 customers.

Meanwhile, the favorite date for passenger departures was recorded as 24 December 2025 with 38,485 customers, followed by 25 December 2025 with 37,092 customers, and 23 December 2025 with 30,577 customers.

In order to provide better services during the Christmas period, KAI Daop 1 Jakarta provides 1,732 train trips, consisting of KAJJ and local trains. This number has increased by around 10 percent compared to the realization of the 2024/2025 Nataru Transport which was 1,577 trips. In terms of capacity, KAI Daop 1 Jakarta provides 909,536 seats or 50,530 seats per day, an increase of around 1 percent compared to the previous period which provided 898,238 seats.

As for today, Sunday (14/12), the total number of passenger departures from the Daop 1 Jakarta area was recorded at 28,821 customers, consisting of 23,971 KAJJ passengers and 4,850 local train passengers, with a total of 84 train trips. This number includes 73 KAJJ trips and 11 local train trips, with details of KAJJ departures from Gambir Station as many as 39 trips and Pasar Senen Station as many as 34 trips.

KAI Daop 1 Jakarta appealed to the public to immediately book departure and return tickets. As passenger volume continues to increase during the Nataru Transport period, early travel planning is an important step to ensure comfort and smooth travel.

“We continue to strive to provide the best service by adding trips, increasing seating capacity, and ensuring the readiness of facilities, infrastructure and officers in the field. All of these steps are KAI’s commitment to further serve the mobility needs of the community during the Christmas holiday,” said KAI Daop 1 Jakarta Public Relations Manager, Franoto Wibowo.

Franoto added that customers can use the Access by KAI application to see seat availability in real time and make orders more easily.
