Sexual Harassment Cases Are Rampant, H. Ahmad Imron Asks Islamic Boarding Schools to Strengthen Preventive Systems

MediaBantenCyber.co.id (MBC), Tangerang — The rise in cases of alleged sexual harassment and violence in Islamic boarding school environments has prompted Member of the Banten Provincial DPRD from the PKB faction, H. Ahmad Imron, to ask all Islamic boarding school educational institutions to strengthen preventive systems and internal supervision to prevent irregularities.

The caretaker of the Daarul Falahiyah Islamic Boarding School in Panggang Village, Selapajang Village, Cisoka District, believes that preventive measures must be a top priority in the Islamic boarding school-based education environment, especially in maintaining the safety and comfort of the students.

“Preventive efforts must be well organized so that similar cases do not occur in the future in the Islamic boarding school environment,” said H. Ahmad Imron when asked for a response regarding the rise in cases of sexual harassment in Islamic boarding school-based educational environments, Friday (8/5/2026).

According to him, strong power relations between caregivers and students can become a space prone to deviation if it is not accompanied by a healthy supervision system and clear rules. Therefore, he asked every Islamic boarding school to have strict ethical standards and monitoring mechanisms.

Ahmad Imron also strongly condemns all forms of sexual violence in educational environments. He emphasized that Islamic boarding schools are a place to shape the morals and morals of the younger generation so they must be protected from deviant behavior.

“I condemn all forms of sexual violence in educational environments. Don’t let the actions of certain individuals damage the dignity of Islamic education and public trust in Islamic boarding schools,” he said.

He also reminded the importance of maintaining interaction boundaries between caregivers and the Asatidz board and students, especially female students. According to him, interaction must be limited to the corridors of education and learning.

“Avoid excessive interaction, except for the learning process between caregivers or the Asatidz board and students,” he stressed.

Furthermore, Ahmad Imron believes that it is not enough for a kyai to only have religious knowledge, but he must also have moral integrity and a clear scientific line in order to be a role model for the congregation and students.

“It is important for a kyai to have a clear scientific lineage and also be able to be a role model for the people,” he said.

According to him, establishing an Islamic boarding school is a big mandate that requires high moral readiness and responsibility. Therefore, a caregiver must be truly prepared to become a role model before establishing an educational institution.

“If you are not ready to be a role model, you should not set up an Islamic boarding school. Because when deviations occur, the impact is not only devastating for the victims, but also creates a bad stigma for Islamic boarding schools and the community,” he said.

He also appealed to the public to be more selective in choosing Islamic boarding school educational institutions by examining the credibility of the caregivers, scientific knowledge, and the institution’s moral track record.

Recently, the public has been shocked by a number of cases of alleged sexual violence in Islamic boarding school-based educational environments. One of them is a case of alleged sexual abuse of female students at an Islamic boarding school in Tlogowungu District, where a boarding school caretaker has been named a suspect. In this case, dozens of female students were suspected of being victims.

A similar case also emerged in the Ciawi area, Bogor Regency, West Java. The alleged perpetrator, who is a teacher and Islamic boarding school alumnus, is suspected of molesting at least 17 male students. (*)

A Private Blog Network (PBN) is a collection of websites that are controlled by a single individual or organization and used primarily to build backlinks to a “money site” in order to influence its ranking in search engines such as Google. The core idea behind a PBN is based on the importance of backlinks in Google’s ranking algorithm. Since Google views backlinks as signals of authority and trust, some website owners attempt to artificially create these signals through a controlled network of sites.

In a typical PBN setup, the owner acquires expired or aged domains that already have existing authority, backlinks, and history. These domains are rebuilt with new content and hosted separately, often using different IP addresses, hosting providers, themes, and ownership details to make them appear unrelated. Within the content published on these sites, links are strategically placed that point to the main website the owner wants to rank higher. By doing this, the owner attempts to pass link equity (also known as “link juice”) from the PBN sites to the target website.

The purpose of a PBN is to give the impression that the target website is naturally earning links from multiple independent sources. If done effectively, this can temporarily improve keyword rankings, increase organic visibility, and drive more traffic from search results.
