Bantar Gebang TPST Landslides, Three People Die
BANTAR GEBANG, POSKOTA.CO.ID – A landslide occurred at the Bantar Gebang Integrated Waste Processing Site (TPST), Ciketing Udik Village, Bantar Gebang District, Bekasi City, West Java, on Sunday, March 8 2026.
This incident resulted in three people dying after being buried by an avalanche of rubbish.
“There was a landslide in zone 4 of Bantargebang TPA at around 15.29 WIB and three fatalities were found. Currently the victim data is still in the process of being collected,” said Desiana in her report, Sunday, March 8 2026.

According to Desiana, based on preliminary data, the three victims who died have been identified.
Two of them are shop owners around the location, named Enda Widayanti, 25 years old and Sumine, 60 years old. Meanwhile, another victim was Dedi Sutrisno, a garbage truck driver.
“Both work as shop owners in the TPA area. Meanwhile, the other victim is Dedi Sutrisno, a garbage truck driver from Karawang,” he said.
After the evacuation process, the bodies of Enda Widayanti and Sumine were taken back to their hometown in Banten, while the body of Dedi Sutrisno was returned to Karawang.

Currently, officers are still collecting data to confirm the number of vehicles and the possibility of other victims.
“Apart from the loss of life, the rubbish avalanche was also reported to have buried a number of rubbish trucks and stalls in the area,” he said.
