Flood, Landslide Alert Call and Collaborative Disaster Management FGD

The event was also attended by Kalak BPBD Karanganyar Hendro Prayitno, Head of Tawangmangu Subdistrict Eko Joko Widodo, Kapolsek Tawangmangu Eling Adi Utomo, Danramil Tawangmangu Mawit Hadi Wibowo and Deputy Adm Surakarta.

Administrator/KKPH Surakarta Ronny Merdyanto emphasized the importance of us collaborating and synergizing in overcoming flood and landslide disasters.

KPH Surakarta manages state forests covering an area of ​​32,394.48 ha with a number of employees -/+ 100 people if divided by an area of ​​32,394.48 ha, on average 1 employee maintains 323 ha of forest. With these volunteers, Perum Perhutani KPH Surakarta is greatly helped when floods and landslides occur. Talking about disasters that we don’t want is sometimes responded negatively by several parties by giving the wrong negative statement, namely forest managers, even though if we look at the occurrence of a disaster, there are many factors that influence the occurrence of a disaster, namely natural factors, non-natural factors and social factors. In forest areas that are densely planted, this can happen because of high intensity rainfall.

For this reason, it is important for us to provide education, outreach, training, simulations, community empowerment, identification of local risks, use of technology, infrastructure and creative approaches and local wisdom.
