Preventing disruption to Ramadan security and social order, police disperse crowds of teenagers in Cisoka

MediaBantenCyber.co.id (MBC), Tangerang — In an effort to prevent disturbances to social security during Ramadan, the police dispersed a crowd of teenagers who were suspected of wanting to carry out a firecracker war in Selapajang Village, Selapajang Village, Cisoka District, Saturday (21/2/2026) at around 01.00 WIB.

This action began with reports from residents via the 110 emergency service which were received by the Cisoka Police function picket. Following up on the report, personnel immediately moved to the location to ensure the situation remained safe and under control.

Upon arrival at the scene, officers found a group of teenagers gathered and allegedly going to have a firecracker fight. The authorities then took persuasive and humane steps by dispersing the crowd before the action took place.

Cisoka Police Chief, Inspector Aditya Surya Sakti, said that quick steps were taken to prevent potential dangers that could arise, both for the perpetrator and the surrounding community.

“Officers immediately moved to the location to confirm the situation and prevent potential disturbances to public security and order,” he said.

According to him, firecracker wars not only disturb public order, but also risk causing injuries, fires and public unrest, especially during the vulnerable hours of the morning.

Apart from disbanding, the police also appealed to the public to increase environmental monitoring and the role of parents in supervising their children’s activities, especially at night during the month of Ramadan.

This step is in line with the direction of the Tangerang Police Chief, Police Commissioner Andi Muhammad Indra Waspada Amirullah, who emphasized the importance of a quick response to public reports and increasing preventive patrols at vulnerable times.

After the disbandment, the situation in the Cisoka area returned to being safe and conducive. The police ensure that routine patrols will continue to be increased to prevent similar incidents from happening again. (*)
