Parking building in Koja, North Jakarta collapsed, crushing 5 vehicles

KOJA, POSKOTA.CO.ID – The parking building at Gang Waru 1, Jalan Alur Laut RT 05/RW 03, Rawa Badak Selatan Village, Koja District, North Jakarta, collapsed, Thursday, December 25 2025, at around 15.10 WIB.

“The parking building had two floors and hit four cars and one motorbike,” said Head of BPBD Jakarta, Isnawa Adji in his statement, Thursday, December 25 2025.

Isnawa said that the parking building collapsed and heard children playing. When they heard a crack, they ran from the location.

“While the children were playing, they heard a crack and then the children ran away to avoid the rubble of the building,” he said.

He confirmed that the incident did not result in any casualties, but five parked vehicles were crushed by rubble. Meanwhile, the building has not been evacuated.

“Regarding the ownership of private land buildings adjacent to the Foundation/Pesantren area, they are not part of the Foundation/Pesantren,” he said.

Meanwhile, he said, the investigation into the building collapse was ongoing.

“The cause is still being collected by the police,” he said.
